When booking your session, we will have a phone consultation where I will guide you through choosing a location and outfits that reflect your style. I take great care to create an atmosphere that is fun and relaxing, so that everyone involved can feel comfortable and enjoy the experience. My style is a mix of classically posed photography combined with fun "prompted" unposed photography. This combination of styles allows me to capture the true nature of your relationships and individual personalities, creating a collection of images that you'll treasure forever.

When should I schedule my newborn session?
It is best to schedule your newborn session as soon as you know that you’d like me to document these amazing memories for you and your family. I like to photograph your session within the first 7-14 days after baby is born if possible. During this time, your baby will be sleepy and easily posable, making it the ideal timeframe for your newborn session. I will add baby's due date to my schedule and will confirm the date of the session once baby is born and able to come home. Even if you are inquiring after your baby is 14 days old, please don't worry, I'm still here for you.
What is a lifestyle newborn session?
Lifestyle newborn sessions are a great way to capture the beauty of your family's new little one in the comfort of your own home, eliminating the stress of having to pack up and travel to my studio. This type of session allows me to capture more meaningful moments with your baby that might not be possible elsewhere. The session focuses on capturing genuine and raw emotions, as well as the relationship between your family. These sessions are not just about taking photos, but about creating memories for a lifetime. There is something really special about having images of your baby’s first few weeks surrounded by their most familiar faces and places. It truly captures the essence of this sweet time.
What should our family wear for our session?
When it comes to dressing for family portraits, the goal should be to create a unified look that complements each other's styles. Consider coordinating colors and patterns within your outfits, but don't go overboard – keep it simple and classic! You want everyone in the portrait to look their best, so choose clothes that are well fitting and make sure they are comfortable for everyone. I love the look created by layering colors and textures that compliment each other. Try to avoid any clothing that could be considered distracting in your photos, like busy patterns or loud colors. Whatever you decide to wear, make sure it reflects the personality of your family and makes everyone feel their best! With a little planning ahead you'll have a great experience and end up with beautiful portraits that are cherished for years to come! Most immediate family portrait sessions last about one hour, depending on how many people are in your family and how long it takes to get those authentic expressions that you'll want to remember forever. Extended family sessions can take anywhere from one to three hours, however it ultimately depends on how many family units are included in the session. Newborn sessions normally last about two hours, however it is completely dependent on how comfortable baby is during the session. Please plan extra time so your family can feel relaxed without pressure to get through the session faster.
At the end of your portrait session, we will schedule a time for you to come to my home office and see all of your images from the day. During the Image Reveal and Ordering Appointment, you will be able to view a slideshow of the best images from your session, choose your favorites and order beautiful custom products to showcase your amazing portraits for years to come.
The wait may seem long, but the result is worth it! It will be approximately four weeks for your professional portraits and products to arrive back from the lab. You will be amazed at how gorgeous they look. Each image has been professionally retouched, color corrected, printed and packaged to ensure high quality results that you will cherish.
