I love photographing senior portraits because there's something special about capturing the transition from childhood to adulthood. Every session is a celebration of how far the individual has come in their lifetime. Seniors bring enthusiasm and excitement to their session, which always makes for a fun experience.
During each session, I love helping my clients find poses and looks that truly represent who they are. Every senior has a unique story and vision for their images which gives me an opportunity to create something beautiful and meaningful for each of my clients.
I'm truly passionate about senior photography because it's an opportunity to celebrate the senior's personality and make beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. It's such a privilege to be part of this journey! There's nothing like the feeling you get when seeing the final results of a successful portrait session, and I'm grateful to be able to make my seniors look and feel their very best!
Did you know that Abbie Potts Photography offers the most exciting Senior Portrait Experience in the area?
Most often your senior session starts at the salon with hair and make up completed by my super talented stylist! Once your hair and makeup are complete, I will meet you on location to start photographing your session. I will be ready to capture the perfect expressions and poses that bring out your best self. You can expect plenty of fun, laughs and creative ideas throughout your session.
Once we’ve created a variety of images that showcase who you are at this important time in your life, you can head to lunch with your parent(s). During that time, I will go back to my office to prepare your images for your Image Reveal and Ordering Appointment which is held that same afternoon!! I will choose the best images from each of your poses, edit them and add them to your senior slideshow. After you're finished with lunch, you will come to my home office to view your slideshow, choose your favorite images and order beautiful custom portraits and products to showcase your amazing images.

What is the Image Reveal and Ordering Appointment?
Approximately two hours after your fun and exciting portrait session, we will meet in my home office for your Image Reveal and Ordering Appointment. During this time you will choose portraits and products that are professionally printed and carefully crafted. I will guide you through the process of selecting and customizing your order. From choosing wall art and gift portraits to designing the perfect album showcasing your senior session, we will work together to make sure you get the portraits and products that you love.
What outfits should I wear for my session?
When preparing for your senior portrait session, there are various outfit options you can consider. To achieve the best outcome, it's important to select outfits that are comfortable, flattering, and showcase your personality.
Consider a variety of clothing styles and colors while keeping within your comfort zone. I suggest you include one to two casual looks and one more formal look. Accessories can also add to your outfit by incorporating jewelry, scarves, hats, and other items that reflect your style.
Make sure whatever you pick fits properly so it won't be too baggy or too tight on camera. It is also important to consider the location of your session and how the colors of your clothing will look against it.
If you have questions about your outfits or would like my opinion, please feel free to bring additional outfits along to your session and we can choose from there. With the right combination of clothing, accessories, and fit, your images are sure to stand out.
What if I don’t know where I would like my session photographed?
I can help! When it comes to selecting the perfect location for your senior portraits, variety is key. During your phone consultation, we will discuss the style of portraits you’re trying to capture - are you looking for an artsy urban vibe, a sweet and romantic country feel, a bright beachy look or something else? Think about whatever vibe you’re going for and we’ll make sure to choose a location that will help you express your style! When looking for a variety of backdrops and styles to choose from, I'm here to help! Having been to many excellent locations, I can confidently recommend some of my favorites.
